Walker, 3 engraved plates of the departure of the boats from Hecla Cove, boats being hauled up for the night and hummocks of ice, by Edward Finden, and one large folding map (615 x 620 mm), pasted on cloth, of the northern coast of Spitzbergen, drawn by R.H. Foott and engraved by J.&C. Walker. (1), XXII, (2), 229, (1) pp. First edition of this narrative of an attempt to reach the North Pole by sledge-boat, by Sir William Edward Parry (1790-1855). Very good reading copy despite yellowing, Map in rear is torn, however all pages are intact.
